All the supplied equipments are internationally certified, high quality GUNNEBO products, specially engineered and manufactured for banks and financial institutions, offering the highest level of burglar protection.
In the last article we introduced the first five principles for do-it-yourself prevention of theft and break-ins at home specifically for urban capitals, tourist areas and special economic areas. In this article we recommend more useful techniques that you can use to avoid unwanted events in and around your property.
The central monitoring contract signed between FINNMAP and Kerberos for 2012 was evaluated and its benefits recognised in terms of prevention, notifications and responses. After short meeting of further adjustments and expansions the contract has been renewed for another term. Under the contract Kerberos supplies wireless alarm systems for staff members and provides monitoring and reporting services inclusive of regular preventive maintenance, support and assistance services as well, in a very new limited liability condition. In case of security related events our technical assistance team arrives to the property within a few minutes and secures the site if necessary until the site itself and the report inclusive of the findings and events can be handed over to the representative.
We are proud to announce, after supplied security systems to IFC in 2011-2012 (PANASONIC premium CCTV, NESS alarm system etc) Kerberos set extensions for the Security Service contract, hereby earned award and signed a permanent security maintenance agreement with International Finance Corporation for the Vientiane HQ. Within the agreement IFC will be provided with quarterly maintenance for the systems including upgrades, firmware updates, cleanings and settings as per required in continuous cooperation with related departments at IFC. With the maintenance arrangements no breakdown should occur but in case of any event Kerberos technical team will appear in no time to avert the failure and grant operation. The usual support and maintenance services are also included just as the assistance and representation of interests for any security system related event.
The maintenance arrangements include exceptional care for operation of each and every equipment and the network as a whole those have been supplied previously, including also repairs and smaller adjustments if required. Spare parts are available in our Vientiane stock for most cases, however in case involvement of the manufacturer is required Kerberos is to provide appropriate replacement units until the repair is done – therefore the systems are to be always in perfect condition and in non-stop operation.

And the best is: Kerberos offers all in this promotion that makes our systems unique: warranty and after sales services, free support, options for installation and integrations, maintenance option and expansion possibilities all on a feasible and quality basis. After facing countless bad events, shocking stories and sad customers coming from competitor companies, we decided to launch a new topic with photos with pure educational intention because of system conditions and business behavior of some private companies we noticed to spread in Laos. The common aspect of theses stories – even in the best case – is the poor quality that can be tracked back to the performance of the supplier company itself . So called “security companies” – some of them well known in Laos - still seem not to be aware what are the basics for security and electric installations, putting the clients in an awkward situation and disposing them to even more risk they faced before the possession of some systems – more sadly these uncareful installers or traders are hereby pulling the reputation of the whole local security service industry very deep, including those few who try to perform well. We should understand in case we security firms and teams will not be unitedly able to perform quality works for the customers and to respect at least the basic operation conditions for each and every systems, we will loose our customers and we let foreign companies to come over the borders and expand their competition strengthened services in this country.
With rapid economic development in the region, even Lao PDR is not exempt from a rise in petty theft and robberies. Often it seems
that thieves are a step ahead of the law and of protection technology. Expatriates and Lao citizens are equal targets of crime, but expatriates often lack a local network and permanent presence within their homes. In this and future articles we will explore what the average household in Vientiane can do to improve their security.
Naturally, we at Kerberos Security are continuously improving our products to greatly decrease your changes of a brush with crime, but no system can offer complete protection 100% of the time. However, there are steps you can take to improve the security of your home and personal effects.
